Does anyone know where to source front tires for the new 3 wheeler? I know the size, but finding the right profile and load rating has been allusive.

There are very few options. Of course the std 4.00 x 19 Avon SM as fitted, but also the Avon Universal 410 x 19. The later has been tried by the factory, they had some in the spare tyre racks when I was there. http://www.feked.com/tyres-and-tubes/avon-tyres.html?sort_by=position&sort_order=desc

Suggestion for previous chat and the specs are that they are an improvement in terms of grip and predictability. Anyone with current views or experience of those?

The existing tires on the three wheeler are:
Avon SM 4.00-19 65H
Max speed: 130mph/210kph
Max weight: 640lbs/290kg

Here are some alternatives. You can Google the names to find sources in your country. They are easy (and cheap) to find online in Europe and the USA. I've used the Heidenau, Duro, and Avon in other applications and they've all been good tires.

Heidenau K34 4.00-19M/C 64H TT
Max Speed: 130mph/210kph
Max weight: 620lbs/280kg
Note: The weight rating is slightly less (10kg/20lbs) than the stock tires.

Avon SAFETY MILEAGE MK2 (Mark II) 4.00-19M/C 65H TT
Max Speed: 130mph/210kph
Max Weight: 640lbs/290kg
Note: Is this what the stock tire is? It is listed as being a "rear" tire.

Duro HF308 72P
Max Speed: 94mph/150kph
Max Weight: 780lbs/355kg
Note: Limited max speed

Mitas H 02 RF 4.00-19M/C 71P TT
Max Speed: 94mph/150kph
Max Weight: 760lbs/345kg

I have just sent an email to Blockley, asking if their 400 x 19 is considered suitable and have they had any reports back. Blockley tyres have been excellent on various classic cars I have been driving (Alfa 8C2600 etc). Plenty of grip and very predictable. Maybe a little noisy (nothing like as bad as the howl of Dunlop Vintage three stud Race Tyres and half the price) but in the general background racket of the three wheeler, the tyre noise is probably not noticeable. The LH front on my LHD 2012 Three Wheeler is getting a bit low after 4500km on twisty French and Italian roads.

Hope they are suitable...I've just fitted my third pair of them!
General consensus is that they give better grip and feel than the Avons with some folk reckoning that there is a bigger step down from dry to wet grip with them than with the Avons.
Well worth a try.
