Don't forget if they are innie or outie I thought this is what the Doctor created when he cut your umbilicle. I succumbed and counted 24 Top 12 sides nice and symetrical I must have got the engineer on one of his even days

Scarlett has a bounteous 29 up top and 9 sides! 76 in total.  I bet the apprentice had tired arms that day!

There was a period when the 4/4 only had side vents as standard, but I seem to remember that top louvres were available as an option. The Michael Palmer book "Morgan 4/4 The First 75 Years" has a couple of pictures of cars with the top of the bonnet uncut.
I wonder if the option was charged per slat?

Well now that you asked I had to count  I checked photo's of the cars I have owned, results as follows. 2001 +8 29 top outies, 9 side outies 2009 +4 29 top outies, 8 side innies 2011 Roadster 29 top outies, 8 side innies Beyond that who really cares.

Well- my 2009 Plus4 has the 29 top and 8 innies as well - must have been the same bloke Andy!!!
