Thanks Tim, a very nice summary. It certainly sounds like this is what I have been wishing for. And, let's not forget the people who made it possible for us to enhance our cars in a true Morgan fashion.

Finally, my Suplex suspension kit is on the way I have a lot of fun ahead of me - fitting new springs, new shocks front AND rear. I also hope I can fabricate and fit some kind of gaiters to protect the bottom end of the kingpin. Lots of fun

DaveW might be able to help with the gaiters....he supplied me with some superb ones

Reading this thread has been very interesting and I was at the point of telephoning Kevin Vernon when I had to stop for a bit of thought. Yesterday I went out to find all the surface undulations and erosions on the back roads around here ( and believe me French roads have them) and thought to myself, well, this is not so bad. I have already fitted the Mulfab short springs and roller bearings which in them selves have made a huge difference so I am left wondering whether the change to Suplex will pay sufficient dividends to justify the further expense. Those of you who have made the change are obviously impressed and satisfied.

Finally I found the time to start fitting my Suplex kit but found - as I suspected - that I need new kingpins (and bushings). I used a jack to lower the hub, kingpin and rebound spring after detaching the upper retaining bolt from the kingpin and the two bolts holding the plate at the bottom - as recommended in the included instructions. Very little effort and with very little risk of damage to me or the car. A rather big piece of cloth around the spring was my simple and effective insurance. More info when new pieces have arrived...

meabh: it seems to me that probably you would not notice a huge gain in the comfort over small bumps but you would a better result over large bumps because of the rising rate characteristics of the system. Where you would notice a large difference is much less body roll in the corners. I was a bit sick of following family sedans that seemed to have less body roll through corners. Very definitely a thing of the past with the Suplex system.
