They are not all 72..........  AND, on my Roadster the wires are offset around the valve. I challenge you not to check this.

This is so sad !!!  It's about to get worse - 70 spokes per wheel on mine. I also have 176 lines of element on my heated windscreen and 804 visible complete rectangles on my mesh grill And now… They're coming to take me away, ha ha, They're coming to take me away, Ho ho, hee hee, ha ha, To the funny farm Where life is beautiful all the time And I'll be happy to see Those nice young men In their clean white coats ‘Cos they're coming to take me away, HA HAAAAA….!

Budster,
During the recent (third and last) restoration of this car, we actually had quite a discussion on whether to replace the wheels with stainless, chrome or the original silver painted wheels. We (wife, friends and I) finally decided on a new set of the painted ones--we thought the bright ones would be just too much bling and detract from the other chrome bits and the contrasting black wings. I think we made the right decision.

For those of us now suffering from "louvre envy", how practical would it be to have the "missing" louvres inserted, and who would offer this service (and the necessary repaint)?
