The clutch slave can also be bled before refitting to the bellhousing with the nipple held at the highest point possible, but you need a helper.

Many thanks to all for your additional advice ... I'm now trying to find the bleed nipple to change the clutch fluid. Reassuring to know that I'm not the first to hunt for it! Again, I have a year 2000 4/4 with a silver top Zetec 1800 engine. Any ideas where I might find this elusive clutch bleed screw please?
