I have used stuff from the Racemettle parent company Racetorations for a number of years, top quality stuff, and service too. Highly recommended!

Guenters Baby Doll came with Dunlop style wheels...although bolt on. It might be worth asking the factory where the wheels were sourced from.

Thanks all for advises, I appreciate each one to try. Jay, thanks for your important reminder. Indeed, the mentioned Baby Doll gave me the idea for the Dunlops but meanwhile I forgot about this very car. BTW it is Stefan's car. It is often associated with Günter because Günter posted the pics from Stefan's Baby Doll. Certainly I will ask Stefan about his source of Dunlop styles. www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/galleries/111039/1The late and very alive Lew Spencer helped Stefan to detail her, Richard Thorne helped to realize the project and after all that happened succesfully, MMC could campaign the story as a companies project. At the earlier stage when designing her as a one off, Stefan decided for the Dunlops to get historically matching wheels but no spokes. BTW Günter's Baby Doll is Westminster Green and has Morgan standard alloys, which I must admitt give his car a very good look, but the Morgan standard alloys are available only with one defined offset. My dealer changed one hub in last winter to try standard alloys but my car is too wide for them, and the Dunlops will be made with different offset and size.

I feel very happy because I have found a wheel which is no compromise. The Billet classic 46 from Imagewheels, a three piece wheel for reasonable money. www.imagewheels.co.uk/large_wheel_pages/b46_classic.htmlStefan has such a set on his Baby Doll for bolt on. They make me wheels directly for center lock without the need of an adapter. So the weight is only ca. 7 Kg. Every dimension is possible and a lot of options of finishes and colours without additional costs are offered. In my cheerful mood I cannot decide if round holes or squared holes. Any comments? The finish I think I go for a total powdered wheel which gives a satinised look, needs not the highest care and could underline the sporty expression of her. Colour could be silver or anthracite. Black would not let shine the nice small holes I guess.

I'd go for round holes but it is very much personal preference.

I agree with Richard...round is more classic and in silver. A good find Heinz!

I like the round holes, just as the spokes in a wire wheel should be round and not square. Harald

Hello. I have a 1983 4/4 Morgan with original solid wheels that I'm thinking of replacing with wire ones. 1. Are the solid ones worth anything? Even as PX? 2. Where is the best place to source reconditioned ones? 3. Is this a bad idea as I gather wire wheels need lots of TLC? Appreciate some pointers before I consider taking the plunge. Many thanks.
