Hi, I will get my Morgan on friday. I am a big fan of English cars; I had a TVR Tuscan and now this lovely Morgan. My last car was a Cayman S but...disaster.
I am working in Romania, Constanta, and I want to bring my new car for the summer, from France. It will be a 2800km ride to be done, as quick as possible (estimated time 48 hours).
Can you advise what tool or other thing I need to have with me ?
I will post pictures and video (if I do) to share this small trip.
I think I will be one of the only 3 Wheelers in Romania, right ? Do you know any other owner in this country ?
Cheers !

Long time since I've been to Constanta. I did a stint in Mangalia (spelling) along the coast and towards the Bulgarian boarder.
I would get hold of some inner tubes to take with you.

I had a little jaunt to Romania in the 4/4 about fifteen years ago. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

Good evening, thanks for the infos !
Inner tubes, noted.
I will take some spanners, I read from the Gumball report, C. Morgan had some issues with the exhaust manifold.
No Transfagarasan planned for this week end because I just want to drive it here but later, yes, the roads of Transylvania are wonderful. I love photography, so I will try my best to photograph the car in this wonderful landscape.
Potholes...yes, agree. Here, you need to choose the proper itinerary, it goes from very clean and curvy to "offroad-on-the-road" ! But when it s good, it s really enjoyable.
I will also get in touch with Irina.
I was expecting more feedback on the mechanical part but the 3 wheelers seems to be a very reliable car.

I'd suggest you pack some thread lock just in case anything shakes loss, and maybe some oil, not that mine uses any.
Mechanicals form our trip to Nordkapp are fairly solid, and other than minor problems I don't think you'll be able to fix much by the side of the road.

MMC did a fix on this and there is a locking clip on the manifold bolts that really should stop that problem from ever reoccurring. I'm carrying a full toolkit as well as duct tape and electrical tape. Inner tube and patches are great and you will need the full kit to remove the front fender so that the wheel can come off! The supplied wheel wrench is on the small side and you will do damage to yourself as well as the car in using it. There is no jack so prepare to improvise. I wish to add that there is really not much you can do on the side of the road if it breaks. Learned this one the hard way. Be very friendly with the tow driver as this baby has to be hauled!
One small analog tire pressure gauge would be a very good idea to add. A few pounds up or down really changes the way it drives. You will have a built-in voltmeter in the dash that will let you know if the regulator is not cutting it. An invaluable resource.
Oil can be purchased on the road but for a long trip like you are planning, an oil filter would be a great thing to have on hand. Especially for a break-in run. The Harley-Davidson replacement part number that ends in "99-A" is the one. Choice of black or chrome. Motorcycle shops will have this one. hopefully. Don't assume. I buy them in three's.
This car has been a joy as well as having its dose of head scratching learning curves.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I suggest just a small bagful of emergency tools - adjustables, screwdrivers, tie wraps etc. I transferred my Vintage bike tool bag into the M3W Boot - but I must say that the car is pretty well bolted together - and the tools have remained untouched for 8 months now!BUT u never know.......
