So a solution has to be found to getting a bleed tube on to the elusive nipple and then slacken the flipping thing!

Try breaking the bleed screw and then fit the tube,you can turn the bleed screw much easier.that way.

I've now found the bleed screw on my year 2000 4/4 1800 Zetec ... it's behind a square rubber blanking plug in the bellhousing on the lower nearside (not the offside). At last!

I will wait for any more praise until I can't see it myself on my car....is it easy to get the bleed pipe on?

Hello Keith ... yes, the extended clutch bleed screw is right there when you take off the rubber blanking plug. Bleed pipe fits straight on without any gymnastics!
