Folks,

One of my LM62 Register owners in Italy is having the following error codes from his management system after the light stays on..

"The car is running well but the engine warning light is still on.
The error codes it gives are P200 and P272.
P200 is: Injector circuit malfunction
P272 is: Cylinder 4 contribution/balance fault"

I believe it maybe a Lambda Sensor but any other suggestions? He is heading from Florence to Sicily on his annual pilgrimage shortly!!! drive

Hi Minikeefy, the fault codes give you the first part of the diagnosis, P codes are standardised accross all EOBD platforms, * it looks like you have a fault on cylinder 4 which may be an injector related issue eg, supply voltage, short to earth, open circuit for instance.
It would be worth checking the basics first, Spark plugs, HT leads, compressions etc.
At this point I see no reason to see why there is a lambda sensor fault, yes, it may be reading excess oxygen due to the likely hood of a misfire as detected by the fault code P272, Cylinder 4 contribution.
hope this may help
regards Dave

Yes, thanks J. smile
Pre-OBDII, so I have to find one that's compatible with a '93...

Given the actual fault codes, what made you conclude it was the sensor?

Only that mine went a while back with a similar code.
