Hello all

First time poster on this site, though I have been reading it with much interest over last 6 months.

Drove down from Paris yesterday to Toulouse where I live in newly acquired yellow Aero 8 late 2002 Series 1. Understandably I'm happy3

Having owned a +8 (Canary yellow) for 13 years until 2006 and then 2 years with a Griff 500 (Halycon Yellow)), first impressions of the car are that it takes the best of both and is absolutely superb.

In a couple of weeks I'm having some friends over my local car club to celebrate the new car and since it's almsot unknown I thought I'd try and set up a PC slide show on the Aero 8. Would anyone have a set of build photos in JPEG format that they'd be prepared to let me use for this purpose.

Cheers

Philip

Simon & Cerealsurfer

Many thanks for your replies.

Build photos are brilliant and just what I am after. I'm off to Singapore tomorrow pm for an airshow but when I return I'll work out how to copy them into a file so that I can have a running slide show.

And time allowing, Cerealsurfer, I'll take a couple of pictures this weekend and upload onto this site.

If either of you were at the Le Mans Classic in 2006 (I was there with my Griff) this Aero 8 is one of the two LHD yellow cars that were there.

I was told by seller there are 18 LHD Aero 8s in France, and luckily for me I was able to buy one of the two that are yellow.

As a matter of interest does anyone have an idea on how many LHD cars have been manufactured outside those destined for the US?

Cheers

Philip

Hi Philip,

Congrats on the S1, it sounds fantastic. Viper on these pages is also the proud woner of a yellow RHD S1 smile Have to see two lined up together in yellow at some point!

For the slide show, you could use powerpoint, though windows (XP / Vista) will do a slide show for you from the controls on a folder in explorer - so no effort at all!

No idea on the LHD build numbers, but I'm sure one of the other Aero owners will have a better idea.

Congrats on the new car again - and post a pic!

Indeed you are a luck chap finding a yellow beauty.

My S1 is TVR Halycon. A real barstewrd of a colour to match so I'm reliably ionformed by my painter. doh

Hello Viper

Agreed on the TVR Halycon yellow. My local paint shop found it an abolute pig to get me a touch-up.

Anyway here is a pic.
Hope this works since it's my first time putting picture and I've just created the website.

Cheers from Toulouse

Philip
