Just a quick update, the LED's showed up earlier this week. Quick mock-up of the brakelight / taillight assembly: I'll likely stagger horizontally the midsection to break it up a bit. I've yet to test out one of the lights, but they have 5 diodes each: I may be over-doing it with how many LED's I have, I'm wondering. My aftermarket tail lights on my '01 Corvette have a few rows of a similar style LED, though each one only has a single diode on it, and those tail lights are blindingly bright even with a layer of tint vinyl on the housing. We shall see, I will hopefully get a moment to test out the LED's this weekend between all the other stuff I've got going on.

After testing just one red LED behind the brake / tail light lens, I'm thinking I'm going to have to drastically cut back on the number of LED's I was planning on using... as soon as I can see again... (picts coming soonish, got a couple other things going on)

Updated the blog with a post about the orange & white leds. Ordered resistors for the full fixture setups, so hopefully within a week or so I should have a full set of lights made up.

http://mogrod.com/?p=1115 First signal & running / reverse light board is together and tested. Video's up on the linked blog page. I will try to get a daytime video this weekend if I get a chance, the night time recording causes my phone's camera to blow out due to how bright the LED's are. Overall, very happy with the results. I'll be putting together the remaining boards in the next while, and then moving on to the red LED boards. I still need to figure out a clever way of making the red 'running lights' darker than the brake lights...
