My mother had a "Man Friend" who inherited some money in his early seventies. He then bought a James Captain, and lovingly messed with it (in his kitchen because he lived alone).
My mother lectured him that at his age he was stupid and would get himself killed. Which after no more than a couple of years is what happened. Not through speed, but by a freak accident which was never explained. He and another classic bike rider were both killed by an eighty year old man in a Peugeot estate who veered in front of them on a sunny Sunday afternoon and went through a dry stone wall. They both went over the top and died at the scene. The other fatality was a thirty year old with two kids. Women can be very 'funny' when it comes to bikes.

I did mention the subject and that if she could lend me the £25K, I could have the Aero.  The A & E said that the injuries will heal, but not to venture out for a few days, as two black eyes, broken nose and no teeth does not enhance ones appearance.

I saw the car in the flesh at Castle Coombe yesterday - absolutely stunning. If I wasn't so afraid of  I could be very tempted. Neil Come on NeilM get your cheque book out, you know now why you had to find it, life's not a dress rehearsal, will love it I'm sure.
