 Well chaps - I can't keep this under wraps any longer - no it's not me and I don't need to add ANY weight - even if it's just a trick of the lens, as Simon, Jay &co will attest  My mate, the one who stalled the car, isn't the man in the white suit either, he's just someone I've known since soon after gaining my ham radio license back in the mid-70s, and who also competes in hill climbs, the odd classic rally &c. He's the one in the leather flying jacket. So, I'm afraid you'll just have to keep guessing which several of many racing drivers 'the' Stig happens to be...

What we really need is for Morgan to let TG have an Aero for an extended test, preferably in Italy, so we can really enjoy Sunday evenings.

Surely the simple base Elise fits the bill? Light, slightly underpowered but still quick enough, feels fast at low speeds and with a simple canvas roof I know what I'd rather drive though...

A K series engined Midget would be a great sports car.
But then I suppose an Elan would do it better.
