A quick PNC check and they'll know you have valid road fund license. They could be really picky and go for "Not displaying" I suppose. Mine is in a motorcycle holder on the LHS, externally, just below the windscreen. Hidden when the car cover is on...

Tax disc must be visible from the pavement side. As far as I know, the law says nothing about windscreens etc. So if covered up sometimes, guilty of failing to display (fine - no points).

My car has the disc on the skirt panel which I think is period correct for them. Red circled on below picture (Madresfield tests in 2009).

I quite agree Martyn, the 5 speeder is a porker, unnecessarily so in my humble opinion.

I have put my tax disc holder, a motorcycle one, on a bracket attached to one of the rectifier nuts, and facing fore and aft, out of the way, but easily seen by a bib.

Nice pic. Do I recognise Graham doing his marshaling duties?

Marshalling - yes earlier that day.
That was myself and John Porter acting as reverse gear for Martyn!
Tim Walter in the red cap obscured by his camera getting another photo. My avatar is a cut down one from him the first time I went to Madresfield in a Mog - 8 years ago, just after I'd bought my 4/4 which was having some remedial work done. That year I took the MTWC Gerald Carr F4 - and marshalled! smile

My June 2013 registered M3W is also listed as "PLG" in the taxation class on the V5. The CO2 g/km emmissions are not listed in the V5 or Certificate of Conformity so I guess that tax on emmissions is not going to happen, probably a good thing as a big air cooled twin would not be low!

My tax disc is in a bike (weatherproof) holder mounted on the engine brace rod mount and is visable all the time.

That looks a good legal spot and, I guess, does not need any holes drilled.

To display from Photobucket, right click on the picture and copy image location. Then paste into the 'Enter an image' button, the fourth one from the left above the post you type.

The buttons that Photobucket give are wrong for here and might explain some difficulties!

Best hint I can give is hit 'Preview Post'. That gives you the fully accurate picture of what your post will look like. So if you think you've attached a photo, and have, it will appear. If you've got something wrong, it won't.

Next time, you too can be a happy bunny! joy

Trying as much to get a grip on picture uploading as where I "hid" my tax disc.
