Graham,
I'm with you on the Firebird. Many years back ( when beer was tupence a loaf ) I rented a bright red Firebird from Avis at LAX and spent a month driving aroung the W.Coast being "Rockford" if you recall that tele series.
Good looking car, fast in a straight line but not a lot of space inside and the white vynal seats were not the best thing in the heat.
Happy days!
Reg

In the 70s, Drove a Camaro with a 3 lt engine for a week - waste of time. A friend of mine in Vancover had larger engined one, riding as a passenger I found it a bit better, but only room for one suitcase in the boot (trunk). Another friend had a Firebird with a 5 lt engine, great in a straight line, but basic handling, seats and trim.

Very subtle n'est pas? laugh2

And for those mentioning 6 cylinders, the small block comprises a 350CuI V8 (5.75 litres) I'm not sure a 6 cyl vette was ever made? I certainly wouldn't buy one smile

Latest vette, you could switch to running on 4 cylinder mode, great idea!! especially if you're cruising on motorway.

I once nearly bought a Transam 6.6 in my early 20s.

But ended up with a 7litre purple cobra in my late 40s hide

No idea how they handle, but from a pure aesthetic viewpoint, I prefer the 50's & 60's flavour.

Shucks, maybe that's why I like Morgans, I guess.
