Unknown car.

swmbo was doing some genealogy and sorting some old family photos.
Anyone have any idea what this car is.
Date of pic is 1927 approx and it is in India but I presume the car would be British.

A bit of a guess here, but because of its odd bonnet shape, it could be a Stanley Steamer of some form. thinking

Looks pretty similar Ian but it seems to have a different radiator frame from most Beans. They or at least one of them was pretty famous in Australia, it was driven from London to Melbourne in an effort to get people to buy them. It also held a couple of trans Australia records, I think from Melbourne to Darwin was one

The car in the photo sort of has the bits in the correct place and the bonnet and side covers look like a 24 vintage Bean. It includes the split windscreen as well. If the photo was in India, then it may have bean (oops) bastardized to keep it running

Not at all, I think that tmg13 has his finger on the pulse.
