G may have felt offended a tad briskly but I don't think anyone was out of order and as far as I'm concerned Gerwyn is certainly a gentleman.

It's that Jays you've got to look out for.... or do I mean Budster .... or JTL .... or Jeremy..... thinking

laugh2

I feel I should wade in at this late stage in the thread just to say that I've not been in the slightest bit disappointed with my experience of buying my Morgan brand new. The few little niggles I've had have been sorted out by Morgan France, and the 17000 km I've covered in just over 2 years have been pretty hassle free; my objective of having all the joys of an old car without the aggro has been entirely satisfied.

I might add that if none of us were to buy them new, MMC wouldn't survive for long !!

I enjoyed buying mine new - particularly as I haven't seen another Sand with Distressed Tan. It seems a little unusual. Having owned many cars from new, I also like knowing exactly how they've been driven.

Having said that, Morgans benefit from modification from a caring owner, so a good used one with all the enhancements done is very attractive.

A number of posters will recall that following a post I put up here the GoMog site featured a comment to which I objected on a number of grounds After a detailed exchange of e-mails with the owner of the car in question we agreed a way forward. Specifically that we would arrive at an agreed form of words which he would then post on Go Mog and I would post on TM. The agreed statement is set out below

"This is a reply to the comment posted on GoMog regarding statements made on 'the 'Talk Morgan' site. I wrote one of those Talk Morgan posts.
I felt the reaction on GoMoG was unnecessarily aggressive. I therefore acknowledge the courtesy shown by the car owner (GoMoG's webmaster) in allowing me this right of reply;

The views and statements I made were based on the best knowledge I had available to me. I gave what I believed was an even handed view of the car as it was the last time I saw it in 2011. I have now learned that the car was waiting for a repair slot at Tudor Motors from a front end accident.I have been told that the repairs were completed. I am happy to acknowledge this and say that the condition of the car should now be judged on the state it is today.

There is no great mystery as to how or where I have seen it, the car in question is stored at a dealer who does my Morgan work on a regular basis and of whom we both have a very high opinion. For at least one extended period my own car was parked next to it in that dealer's garage, though, in fact, we have never met!

I wish him well in the sale of his car"

This smacks of threats of litigation having been exchanged, and I seriously think the GoMog dude should go back to the cave he came from.

Someone on another website to the one where the car is for sale gave his opinion and stated that "if the car is the one I'm thinking of", only to have the seller of the car in question car throw a hissy fit like a six-year-old.

I don't know what's worse, the Gomog bloke throwing a hissy fit, or you trying to please him to the extent you have.

Let's just say, that if I were in the market for a 4 wheel car, I would not buy his on the grounds of his hissy fits. Not even if it were offered cheaply. Such an idiot.
