I can get this kit in UK;
£42.99.
It
is listed as follows

FOR INSTALLATION OF LATE STYLE HYPER, PRO-HYPER, AND MOST AIR CLEANERS FOR
H-D 40MM CV ON S&S E/G.

Using this info you should be able to mount any velocirpator style of filter
with this mounting kit.

Kuryakyn do list a Velociraptor Filter only which would be ideal as you do
not need the fittings as supplied in the kits we sell, but they are out of
stock of this but assuming they do still produce it the cost of this is
£129. PN 9870.

Now this bad boy at about £160 looks great.

I am thinking that the cold air being forced from ahead in our orientation of the engine is going to be good. As they say on pistonheads "Tell me I'm wrong?" No tell me I'm right please.

Gents I'd be inclined to leave it for a while as I understand Crazy Horse will be bring products to market soon especially for 3 wheeler.

Krazyhorse.co.uk? Or crazyhorse.co.uk? I'm thinking it's the former, right?

Btw, JP Cycles from the US has pages and pages of air intakes, covers, adaptors and so on. It's at least worth a look for inspiration:

You're correct it's Krazy with a K.

Problem with most of the aftermarkets is they need a conversion plate to fit the x wedge so the selection is very limited.

Well, quite a few are merely cover plates for the filters, and not actual intakes. But I was thinking that if you already were in the market for an adaptor and a different "look", then it was good for inspiration. I personally like these covers (single screw front-cover):

Come to think of it, are we sure it would be such a good idea to have an open front filter? I mean, on a motorcycle it's rather well protected from water, on the MW3, it's like it's sucking its way forward, getting quite a bit of water (and perhaps even salt, during that season).

What I really would like is something that looks quite simple and "that'll do". I have seen some great looking installs on some of the classic threewheelers. They consisted of a big rubber hose sticking up and a UNI filter jubilee clipped to it. I like that look, he he.

My thoughts exactly. I may just try to match my current color (one of the stock eight colors, blue) and paint the cover instead. I would really love to have one of the chromed goodies on the front end but I find that more chrome equals more cleaning... I'd rather spend the time driving

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

What concerns me a little with a ram effect air intake is that it may affect the fuel/air ratio and weaken the mixture, which is definitely something that is not advisable, as it leads to overheating and burnt out valves and seats. i don't know how clever the ECU is at determining and correcting these things though.

We got the Kuryakyn and adaptor from Morgan West. I personalized it with a simple lapel pin. The dealer will install it when our car gets here THIS WEEK!!!
