Thanks Hamwich, what I would really like is the originals and find MMC source. White LED would be lovely coming on with the sidelights.

I have looked at Arlen Ness but will look at the others you mention.

After installing the LED lamps and losing the little marker lights I have just come to the conclusion that running with headlights on all the time is the way to go. Not so much to see but to be seen.

The DS was a wonderful system but it was mechanicallly based. More moving parts attached to the steering assembly adding to the complication. Tucker had his version using one lamp. Some of the Lexus models employ a different system that is admirable as well. I think they are using the same idea in that it kicks in at low speed but gets out of the way at higher speeds.

The system is very useful on dark curvy mountain roads where going fast is insane anyway! Diving into a black hole is not my idea of a good time...

A great idea but expensive to pull off as well as adding mechanical complication.

I would like to go for the J.W. Speaker Headlight Model 8700 Evolution 2, with additional FP (Front Position) and DLR (Daytime runnig lamp) light functionality.

Its also deliverd with H4 connector. But here is where i am confused:

The wires are descrbed as follows ...

Black for Ground
White for High Beam
Yellow for Low Beam
so far so good. this should be plug&play.

Red for Front Position
Blue for Daytime Running Lamp

Do you know where the Red and Blue wire should go?

Pete

Red, to pilot light wire Red on the car. Blue has to have an ignition +feed.you have to run an extra wire through the original trunking! its a tight fit but should go!!!!on mine i found a floating Green wire with female socket connector attached a few inches below the fuse box...just plug into this it's fused and ready to go....Hope this helps...

Which model of the jw speakers are you buying as they have changed a bit? Any particular vendors? Do you need the mounting ring?

For those looking I ended up ordering them from www.4wheelparts.com. The headlights are currently on sale. The part #0554961. They are and authorized dealer.
