Hi there,

I have a black car and the door hinges have been painted black too, they are starting to show their age and the paint is flaking off them.

I am considering changing them to stainless hinges (as are the wire wheels, mirrors, sidecreen attachments, turnbuckles, windscreen mounts etc.).

I am concerned they may stand out. Does anybody have a photo of a dark car (ideally black) with stainless hinges?

Thanks in advance,

R.

Very smart - that's my mind made up! Many thanks.

I was worried they would be too dominant - but look smart (and better than my flaking ones!)

Cheers!

Or you could use black gloss engine paint to touch them up (the hinges that is!!) - it does not need primer and goes on well with a cotton bud.

Just made it out of dry Gujarat after 4 days and am consuming Mr Kingfishers finest malt beverage. It maybe that or old age but I also don't see any hinges!!
The simple solution is a silver bodied car like mine

Stainless hinges look great against a black car. They make a nice contrast.
