I am curious for instance as to why Clipper upgraded to a car 2 years younger, is it a question of going for the newest you can afford or are they changes in spec by a certain year for a model that make it much improved?
I suspect it is another case of "The Temptation of Visiting a Morgan Dealership" Ask Jays, he just went to get a replacement for the cracked windscreen on his 4/4 and came away with a Roadster! However, both David & John's cars look lovely, Good luck to them. ps. I'm only jealous, but try to hide it as Stanley (my 4/4) gets nervous. Bud & Stanley the 4/4

I think it can be a combination of factors ( God, that's profound, isn't it!0 For example: 4/4 cvh owner wants Zetec of Duratec power unit 4/4 owner wnats more mid range torque Wings etc are looking a bit tatty and along comes car with superforms owner's current car doesn't have alloy bulkhead and car only a couple of years younger comes along which has- perhaps easier to change car than get the bulkhead sorted owner of 4/4 is a Vee8 nut and spanking Plus 8 comes along There are loads of others. I think it was the point Boshly made- thinking about the what and why is an integral part of the process

...or simply a car comes along that you cannot say no to. Logic then goes out hte window. Sometimes the car chooses you. Mine did.

JTL, My comment referred only to Boshlys statement, the rest of this thread is just people excersicing their right to freedom of speech. We are lucky we have it, there are still places in this world where some of those comments would have you in goal for years. It sounds like our dads had similar advice when they were here, but unfortunately not everyone had such wise men as their parent ( not that my dad was a sage all the time, he also said a few silly things) I hope your Wedding Aniversarry turns out for the good, it's my 37th in October, my how time flys when your having fun Best of all, we on this forum when times get tough, can get in our cars and go for a drive no matter how short and that is guaranteed to cheer us up.

No comment - I may incriminate myself I find it so sad when people denigrate an old and noble calling. Charles Dickens has a lot to answer for!!
