Ah, that rings a bell. If I recall, the Hammond crash was at Elvington. There used to be a very small company up there YKC ( aka Yorkshire Kit Cars)Could it have been them?

They had a model range of about four cars. Three used Ford Sierra donors and the other one was a Lotus/Caterham7 lookalike using bike engines such as the Honda 'Blade and the Suzuki Hyabusa

Don't know if they are still in business
Ok, I'll take my anorak and go now!

Cheers

I know the last thing this is is a kit car ( in fact the engineering is superb) but I couldn't think of any other place to put it, so here goes

They aren't to everybody's taste, but I've always had a very soft spot for these especially the current G8 270
Audi-sourced 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbo engine that develops roughly 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque:

yeh, good innit!!

They claim performance figures a follows:

0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) time of three seconds with a top speed of 158 mph.

And the price? You're looking at between £85,000 to £125,000, excluding taxes.

A chap in my village has a Marlin. Built it himself years ago and he's done a great job on it. Not everyones cup of tea but pricewise more accessible in its day than a Morgan and not really trying to be a copy of one. I seem to recall it was influenced by an Alfa Romeo 1750.

He does however cast a longing eye towards my Morgan when he sees me drive by!

In the ancient times, lepers were required to have a man walk in front of them with a lantern shouting, "Unclean! Unclean!"

So should these things.
