Have you seen how much a new basic 4/4 or M3W is in Aus? A reason why so many UK ones end up down under.... smile

Yes Gerry,

an amazing price! Think what else that would buy!

Interesting G, I hadn't heard that. But doesn't the Ace use the year end of a motorcycle as the final drive, i.e it's shaft driven, whereas the Mog has the infamous bevel box and drive belt?

Brian

But it gains a passenger seat remember

It's true...some would say the the Modern M3W is a replica of the Ace...which was of course a replica of the 1930's SuperSports.

Kind of hard to keep straight!

I do laugh at the prospect of a passenger squeezing their posterior into that seat...

On the flip side - the rumor is that the Ace's suspension geometry results in far less bump steer...

Brian, Don't you remember this very issue cropping up when we went to see Alan at Triking and he pulled out that Nova box to explain how it worked on the TK

I'm not certain of my facts re what MMC did when they couldn't/ didn't want to get the Larsen drive system with the car, so I won't comment. I have in my mind that I've seen some drawings of the Larsen system but can't remember where. I'll keep looking
Cheers

Hi G,

Glad you jogged my memory, I must say that whilst I love my M3W I still have a hankering for a Triking. I think we need to visit again G and have a drive in one, as I would love to see how it compares with the M3W?

Brian

P.S. You could have a drive in my M3W too, as it's insured for any driver... stirpot smile

A very good front end photo showing the horizontal track rods and a KPI that just about bisects the tyre contact patch, shame our M3W's don't use that front end set top.

I like the slightly upward lines of the bottom at the rear.
