Hey all - Looking for aftermarket bonnet straps, prefer "twin" or "double". I seem to have recollection that Simmonds made a really nice one, however I can't locate it and it is making me wonder what other things in my mind are fantasies. I have found:

But neither really grab me (nor the 'stock' on Morgan ships). Anyone have any other good finds here?

Before you go ahead - be aware that they leave a "patina" mark where they rub. Some like it - some don`t.

Simmonds are stopping their Morgan aftermarket items so the stock of the double straps may have gone. I had one on my 4/4...nice but it stretched and stretched in the rain and was a real pain to recut and refit. I've now gone for a Morgan single buckle strap and if it does stretch I've only one end to redo!

"Simmonds of Malvern" are discontinuing their aftermarket Morgan items?

Am I the only one who finds that bizarre?

Steve has cut back and is concentrating on his steering wheels which apparently are keeping him very busy.

I have a black, double buckle one with sheep skin backing. Ordered but did not like it when I got it. Never used, still in original packaging. PM me if you're interested.

I'm happy enough with mine but it is purely for effect like on the Super Dry model. Just the factory standard one and I stuck a small piece of the grippy side of velcro piece under the top, on the "bonnet" and it does not move.

Not for everyone but that is why we have chocolate and vanilla flavours. Not too many cars will be exactly the same.
