Maybe it sounds much worse than it is because it's bolted directly to the chassis and sits in a tin box right next to you with no insulation. Not ideal for isolating any noise. My bevel box will be getting replaced soon for excessive noise but I was told at the factory that it would keep on going, no problem. It has not got any better or worse over 2500 miles of use, so it probably would be OK. Looking forward to the box change, it will be nice to hear the engine!

I thought if that round support bar on the floor were about 4 inches forward it would make a great place to rest your heel.
