I parked mine next to Jayne's in the factory carpark and hers seemed narrower at the front than mine but somehow wider at the back. It looked neater than mine. I think she was as mystified as I was how it could be narrower.... Nick Do you have a Roadster? The big wheels and wide tyres do seem to make the front end look narrow. Seems I have a car with some "history"!

Mine was registered 1st May 2009. Seems strange seeing bare plywood in the rear wheel arches and galvanised chassis! Its got a pale gold tacky waxy covering to it unlike the black Dinitrol that the factory used on my 2010 car. So mine is 6 months newer than yours but has the old under-seal...weird, but very Morgan!

Yes Peter, mine is a 2005 roadster mk1 with clear underseal I think....I say that as there is some dark underseal here and there but mainly clear.......! I've had it from new so what's there is factory applied. I have alloy wheels, I can't remember what was on Jayne's at the time. I just remember that we chatted about the differences between the 2 cars. She's so charming it's hard to remember exactly what we were saying. She was facilitating our test drives of various cars, organising coffee etc. And generally being a fantastic representative of the company. I do hope they pay her well! Nick

The Roadster got a wider front end in '2009' when the Sport was introduced. But the wide rear axle makes the front look narrow. Less obvious with alloys.

Jayne's Roadster = Aldermog has wire wheels, it has a "look" that immediately made SWMBO say "we want that one, so as others have mentioned, the car selects you....
Seem to recall the Roadster that Jay's bought has alloys. I can't believe that the wheel fit dictates the type of under-seal used, but more likely Aldermog had additional black under-seal applied under the wings.
I understand Jayne will be at the "Hill" meeting at the end of the month and so will get to see her Morgan again.

Peter, yes mine has Alloys fitted. The undersides of the wings themselves seem to be undersealed in black. I'll redo them with Dinotrol before winter.

I find all these widths confusing! I know my Roadster wings are the same width as the Plus4 but for some reason the Roadsters with the 16" wires look wider!

Roadsters with wires are wider, that's why. It's all in the wheel offset.
