I bought a set of the side pockets from Allon White - they are ok - but IMHO a tad on the tiny side - and sadly no "gusset!" in the base to allow for even 1cm wide storage - still they are fitted!

Got any pics? I made a simple shelf out of plastic facia, then covered in black car carpet, which spans the full width of the cockpit, above the trans. tunnel, plenty of room for all those little things we all need at hand when driving, and, for me at least didn't hinder access or egress [is that the right word?]

I did post up some pictures in the photo library last year, have a look back, they should be there somewhere. It was a black car with tan interior.

Charlie - I really like the leather Allon White steering column cover. I wonder if he can do the job if I send him the part? Or does he need the car in shop?
The more I think about it - a dash replacement and gauge replacement on a M3W will be a big job - I'm not sure you could even replace the existing gauges as the LCD readouts are built into the speedo and tach - and those really can't be deleted without losing important functions like a fuel gauge! Even if you could separate the LCD displays from the gauges, adding them elsewhere on a "vintage" dash would really detract...I think the stock units will probably look better in the end.
That MIG clock on the leather panel to the right of the cluster might look very nice though...

Has anyone tackled the project of just switching the 2 main dials left to right. On the RHD models it makes sense to have the tachometer close to the steering wheel and the speedometer on the left with all its information capabilities.
The LHD vehicles, on the other hand are stuck with having a speedometer with all the information goodies under the wheel and visibly useless!
The steering wheel, as supplied blocks too much visually and I find myself reaching, stretching, and grasping trying to find out stuff!
What's it like under the dash?
Enquiring minds want to know...
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I have fitted a 15" four spoke wheel, that's made everything easier to see. On RHD cars horn switch is very difficult to reach in a hurry, I've hung a piece of leather off mine, had cause to use it yesterday, it worked well !

The clock is interesting in the 3rd and 4th pictures. I've got one lurking, it's supposedly as fitted to some MIG fighters but boy is it a heavy thing. And not a very easy shape to cut a hole for either since although it is sort of circular, there are two smaller arcs of circles with a non obvious centre.
I've seen them sold for over £100, but I got mine a lot cheaper from eBay, even if it was a slightly worrying wait for the post as it came from the Ukraine! I've been looking at those. The one's I've seen mounted on MK's dashes seem to have a polished rim. I wonder if the standard paint finish can be taken off and the alloy polished sufficiently well?

Yes, I switched my main dials around, it seemed much more sensible. I also use a smaller wheel so that my hand doesn't block the view to the instruments so much.
It was quite easy to do, just take out all the little domed headed hex bolts and the thing virtually falls out. There was enough wire to change them around as well. it's one of those jobs where you just undo little bolts until you can see your way clear.

I rotated my wheel 180deg. on the boss so the rev. counter could be seen. The horn switch is useless where it is, it needs to be where the hazard switch or lighting switch is.
