Sadly, my new car has the speedo in front of the driver... Will need to find somewhere to fit the GPS / speed limit / speedo box...

There is always the option of changing its position Graham: you would have to make a new centre panel, Kevin Vernon made mine as I couldn't see the speedometer very well.

It's worth thinking about. I don't like the 'classic' dash. And the 3 in 1 isn't very sensitive based on my journey back from Kent.

Graham, Dave, I put a photo on the dashboard section. Changing the speedo position was easy as I seemed to have a long drive cable which in it's new position proved to be straighter. Europa spares provided the 3in1 guage and it was a simple matter to move the ammeter to the extreme right. I still drive on the rev counter but now I can see the speedometer and so can my passengers!

My Father, who uses the car, is waiting for the Ford gearbox to loosen up after a few thousand more miles. If it doesn't, I shall get him another with the newer gearbox.
On my 2008 +4 the Ford gearbox loosened up after 25000 km. It was hard to get into fifth before, but now it is smooth. Harald

Jay/Bob, Could you give a rough idea as to the cost of the back axle upgrade. Am thinking of a 4.1 myself. Is it any noisier than the 3.7? (No reason it should be I guess) Regards, Nick

Mine was roughly the same as Easters although I used a good second hand diff provided by the transmission builder that Mike Duncan uses. The axle was quieter than my original one.....well, so quiet I couldnt hear it!
