"Then some money in a savings fund came up to re-invest and at 90 days notice the best offer was 0.8%. "
Haha Peter.......just what I keep thinking!! And as a Scottish friend keeps saying to me "Och...There's no pockets in a shroud!"

There's a quest to find the highest mileage Morgan ... I think the present leader is 400k miles. Wow -is it like Trigger's broom : 3 new chasis and 4 new engines ? Now I've got a REAL challenge ! Jeremy

Oh, it is Erik. 'Fraid I'm not one of these "must reduce exhaust emissions" people - after all that's a pretty small percentage of the overall environmental cost of a motor vehicle. And motor vehicles are an easy target for the 'green lobby' and politicians cow-towing to them... I'm suggesting they buy a horse and cart INSTEAD of a motor vehicle... After all, London's average traffic speeds are the same now as they were pre-automobile, apparently Me, I'll stick to my Morgans and Land Rovers - infinitely rebuildable (at present!).

Me, I'll stick to my Morgans and Land Rovers - infinitely rebuildable (at present!). I wish I was "infinitely rebuildable", but it seems that finally some bits are worn out and about as easy to repair as a modern car. It is going to be "not nice" and I'll be off driving anything for 6 weeks. Oh Joy.
