Where did I label you a troll?

I drop by TM from time to time not to ignore reality - just to suspend it smile

If you hadn't noticed, I also quoted someone who did in fact call me a troll. It's even in the part you quoted.

And once again, please read my response to Laurens where I very clearly state my position. It shouldn't be hard to read:

Instead of asking you to reread the numerous posts, let me quote part of it:

I mind people trying to stop others from sharing modifications, trying to stop others discussing problems, and in the process misrepresenting what is being said (including the "attempting to build a GT out of a M3w" (about the deleted bumpsteer fix) and the "attempting to make a SLK out of [4W]" (not exactly that wording in either, but condensed, that is what was said about those. And "GT" and "SLK" was used to misrepresent what was actually happening.)

If that is not enough, let me repeat that I like the M3W, but that I am opposed to the people trying to stop any discussion of any problem, and to the people trying to argue against others modifying their Morgan in general.

Yes, it's fun. Some have problems. The problems and possible fixes should be able to be discussed.

Dude, I feel like the guy who comes into a pub when there's tremendous friction and tries to defuse the situation.

I've read the whole thread, and the others on the bump steer issues and your contributions.

You are coming across as an agitator, a dictator, someone who is determined to tell people they have a problem when they don't really think one exists. And the issue isn't the bump steer, but your one man crusade against censorship; which as far as I can see is minimal to non existent here. A view I feel echoed by many others who are clearly tired of your continued "the sky is falling" cries.

You have also insulted and belittled many where you seem to think that your opinion is more important than any one else's. Bad show.

Quite frankly were it my forum I'd have kicked your ass off as you have not contributed anything useful, certainly in the last few weeks, but have obviously bullied and agitated. So much so I was reticent to post, and wouldn't have had I not seen a far more friendly bunch, who discuss and debate and give their opinions more freely and more usefully. So why don't you quietly get off your soapbox, take off your knight in shining armour suit and end your crusade. Wake up and smell the coffee. Why don't you simply give an opinion when you have a relevant one and be more constructive when you criticise or maybe even praise?

Now as a newbie I guess I've said too much already . As a long time forum contributor I'm also aware that trolls like to be fed and like attention. I know you'll probably be back with a great dissemination of my brain dump, split into individual paragraphs, with all sorts of retorts and responses that make you feel good. Therefore I'll keep quiet and say no more to you or with you.

Unless of course you drop this persona and come back into the fold playing nicely smile

Apparently you haven't understood the problem of people continously misrepresenting what I'm saying. This time I won't repost it, because it's getting tiresome when people are deadset on doing exactly that, even if it's explained to them in no uncertain terms.

Case in point. I do grow weary of people misrepresenting what I say, only so that they can continue to outright lie about what is said, and throw the odd "troll" in there. Have I insulted people? Propably, but I think it's well-deserved, considering that they are more than willing to outright lie about what I am saying.

And here we go again. Continuing to counter the outright lies and misrepresentation of what I'm saying, is "bullying" and "agitating". Excellent. Another intellectual dishonest position crawls to the surface.

Go read another thread. I'm not posting all over the place that people shouldn't be allowed to post about their modifications, that people should keep their problems to themselves, and that because I as an individual doesn't have any problems, then noone else can, or at least, noone else should post about them.

Quote:
So why don't you quietly get off your soapbox, take off your knight in shining armour suit and end your crusade.

Why don't you, as an exacerbator of the herd mentality shown here in the last couple of weeks stop trying to shut people down because they don't gloss over problems and are of the opinion that people should be allowed to share problems, fixes, and modifications.

Quote:
Wake up and smell the coffee.

Oh, I have. I have realised just how many people will rather stick their head in the mud, and are willing to attempt to force others to do the same, all so they can stay in the little alternate reality bubble of theirs.

You claim to have read this thread and others, but like so many others here, you apparently skip anything that doesn't suit you. This began with people trying to shut others down who modified their vehicles, who wanted to modify their vehicle, or who had real problems. It then went from there, where people continously lied about what was said both by me and others. This continues to your very post with your mispresentation of what I'm saying and what is happening.

Now as a newbie I guess I've said too much already . As a long time forum contributor I'm also aware that trolls like to be fed and like attention.

And there it is again: I'm now a troll, utterly disregarding the fact that I'm not the one ignoring what is being said, and that I'm not the one lying about what is being said.

Quote:
I know you'll probably be back with a great dissemination of my brain dump, split into individual paragraphs, with all sorts of retorts and responses that make you feel good.

I'm sorry that you're also oblivious to the fact, that taking one premise at a time and addressing them one at a time, is the way to properly address things and point to shortcomings in an argument. I'm sorry you're so oblivious that you think you can turn intellectual honesty against me.

Quote:
Therefore I'll keep quiet and say no more to you or with you.

Excellent. I hope you're a man of your word, because then I won't have to address the constant misrepresentations, outright lies, or the constant eagerness to ignore anything that doesn't agree with your oblivious-to-reality opinions (that goes for all).

Yes, join our mob and accept our herd mentality, because it doesn't matter if you're right, we're more, and therefore by definition right.

No, to all, please do stop responding if you're unable to make a point without misrepresenting me or someone else, if you're unable to read, or if you're unable to at least make an attempt to be intellectual honest. This thread would die quite quickly if people would heed those suggestions.

Welcome to the Forum.... Look forward to hearing about your motor when you get it it.

As to the 'friction' on the Forum, I'm not sure there's any, apart from the guy who keeps banging on about being misrepresented. I'm not sure anyone is actually that interested any more - he's made his point. Rather too many times as it happens.

The only reason I'm repeating one thing or another, is that I continuously have to. If people stopped doing it, I wouldn't have to call them out on it.

Ken I think you've summed this thread up well.

I'm still waiting as is Robbie for AQM to prove he has a 3 wheeler. Clearly he doesn't have much of a life away from his keyboard so I'd guess not.
