Hello again, well I think we have discovered the squeal in my serpentine alternator belt. (2012 3.7 Roadster Ford cyclone motor)Seems Ford had a service recall/notice not sure which but as it is now fixed not concerned. However for any one with same problem may be a help. It was the self tensioning belt tensioner apparently they needed to upgrade the spring inside some, as not heavy enough to do the job of keeping belt tight enough. the fix done through local agency was to replace whole unit. Finally a quiet unit no squeals when giving the pedal a little push lol. just thinking didn't need to start a new forum could have added to an earlier one well live and learn cheers

I don't believe it was a major , but as had it done under warranty the service center here did it. Believe me its such a pleasure to drive now not having a squeal to contend with and far less conspicuous when motoring around town. Draws enough attention with its looks let alone having an embarrassing squeal.
