After receiving so much advice on what I could get to replace our Mog, sold due to my arthritis, I thought I'd let you know what happened. After much garage measuring (shades of Dave Wellings) and test driving, we are now the owners of an Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TFSI Sport S Tronic 2009 in Phantom Black. It's not a Mog but it's great to be back 'out there'! That was a miserable 4 months of the best Summer in years without a Roadster. The 244 mile drive back from Carlisle (which saved £2,500 against local prices) was completed with great ease and no great pain. Just need a four wheel road force balance and hopefully the steering wheel wobble at 80mph will be resolved. Audi's attempts made it better but not perfect.
So if you are waved at from a black TT, it's probably me! Thanks again for all the suggestions, our Back/Grey Mog is down near Padstow I believe.
Cheers, Dave

Dave,
You'll be able to wave at Jays when he's out in his Essex 4x4 grin2 . Have to say I was suitably impressed with his TFSI (?) on the trip down to BHM to collect my 'new' 4/4.
Enjoy, hopefully catch you up at Hooky sometime soon smile

Hi Graham. Pop up some time and lets see your new Yellow motor too! Where did RTA go? The TFSi is pretty decent Graham. Cheers

Indeed I will Dave!
Any excuse for a pint of Hooky!
RTA headed up to Ormskirk to a first time Mog owner. Hope he can remember back to the days of carburettors and mechanical fuel pumps...
Miss it, but this 'new' car is in a different league and I'm really enjoying it! drive smile

Dave...not quite a Morgan but a fun car all the same. I've just got back in my Coupe from a thrash around the Lake District....with its four wheel drive it really scampered up Kirkstone Pass woohoo
