I mailed a check to my dealer today for a third of the price of a new Aero 8!!! Hoping for a build date in october and delivery by Christmas/New Year.
I ordered a car with the original (UK) side louvres as I think the America side louvres are ghastly and a hard top as well as the convertible.
Now, my big problem is the paint scheme. I change my mind just about every week. I was all set with a medium metallic blue body with medium metallic silver wings until I saw the picture of a car in the "spotted at the factory" topic in Old English White. I then became all set for that scheme until I saw the picture posted by Trent in the Morgan Photo Gallery (Carlube aero) and that brought me back to my original idea(without the red stuff). Thankfully I have until July to make up my mind.
All my friends say that the car is enough "out there" that a single paint scheme should be enough but I do think that this car calls for a 2 tone paint scheme. I feel isolated in that opinion right now but am open to suggestions.
Any opinions out there? Please.

Well done! I have the same dilemma. I reallly like my existing colour, silverlake as per the avatar but it is getting quite common. There must be at least 5 or 6 cars in the same colour now. Still my new Aero is scheduled to be the first produced in 2009 so I have some time as well to decide on colours.

Ichanged my mind about 2-tone. If I could get it done like the 2-tone on the old Bentley's etc where the wings and upper body are one colour and just part of the lower body is another I might still go for it.

I do have a cunning plan for the interior though!

Well done Michel! I bet you can't wait wine

With respect to the colour scheme - I'm sure you've taken a look at the Aero 8 colour thread but if not, do view the photos because they may help (they may also make it a lot worse grin2 ).

Morgan Aero 8 colour sample photos

The Aero 8 was the first car I did not debate over colour and knew immediately what I wanted.

When I chose that colour Ian, it was the only one. After supplying my car, RTCC then decided to use the same colour for their demo car. I believe they are now on their second Aero 8 demo in Silverlake and obviously other customers have seen it and also chosen the colour.

The problem with it is that the colour suits the Aero 8 so well, so when soon-to-be owners saw it, it seemed an obvious choice. I know I'm biased but I think 419 is one of the best looking S3s I've seen wink

Congratulations Michel, you have certainly taken the right decision. wine

Now the difficult bit, how to spec it? I think that just because the car is "out there" it needs to have a colour scheme to reflect this and consequently, I think that you should go with your feelings and for me duo-tone is the way to go. grin2

I posted the photo of the Old English White Aero at the factory and in the flesh, and to my eyes, it didn't work too well. I love this colour on Trads, but imho the Aero needs a metallic colour to pick up the light on its flowing lines. The big decision is whether to put the darker colour on the wings ( thumbs ) or on the body? innocent

Good luck with your colour choice and whatever you do don't go for the 'vanilla' option. flag

Hello All

Not quite sure what this debate is about since, as I'm sure Viper will agree, yellow is the only colour for this car!

No joking apart, and there is a French saying (You cannot argue about taste and colour) well done on the order and enjoy the pondering.

Cheers

Philip

Speaking as the man who may well have started the MMC trend towards using Jaguar Gunmetal grey on their show cars...... there is only one colour. smirk2

Well done.. it's a tough life... love

No, no, no, no, laugh2

You've all got it wrong, you need a car of many colours. Reflex Greenish-blue-purple.

As described by my wife a tarts car. (Sorry Aeroman)

As you drive along it changes from green, to blue, to purple.

Ideal get away vehicle, and sure to attract much attention if selected as a US colour

Slowly going green
