As I continue to struggle with under bonnet temperatures I think I must look at some new headers , I currently have librands crossover headers and I feel that a simpler set without the cross over would get the heat out better .
Does anyone have any recommendations as to a good source for headers

have you tried releasing the temperature by creating a gap between the bottom rear of the bonnet and the bulkhead. John Taylor http://www.morganhoods.com/id4.html does a special hook that can be easily fitted to hold the bonnet away from the bulkhead, although I see it is not on his web site, you can contact him

Can you get them ceramic coated?

Purchase an aluminium larger radiator (Librands), fit with 2 kenlowe fans one push other pulling air. Wrap exhaust manifolds in heat shield tape, fiddly but worth it. Talk with NeilM he had a 4.6 and cured the issue eventually.

I should have mentioned that I have the manifolds wraped with asbestos tape ,including the 8 pipes that pass under the sump . The radiator is not alluminum but uprated the fan was just refitted to move the housing right up to the rad , it's filled with distiller water ,prestone antifreeze and water wetter . I also have an oil cooler fitted .
I had not heard about opening the gap between the bonnet and the bulkhead but I can rig something to give it a try this afternoon .

Most V8 "racers" have the modified rear bonnet catches to hold open the lower part for cooling. Give Techniques a ring, I'm sure Brian will advise. 01462 835500

NeilM used to own a 4.6 +8 and did many things to get the temperature down and may be able to give advise on what is most effective, NeilM is his TM name. He lives just down the road from me and is quiet approachable, just PM him.

Librands advertise exhaust headers that go straight out of each side, rather than crossing over underneath the sump like they used to - see http://www.librands.co.uk/products-category-26.html.

Not cheap though.
This side of the pond they are called exhaust manifolds - if you Google "exhaust manifold 4.6 Range Rover" you will find a selection of cheaper alternatives.

Looks like I am still on the search for headers , manifolds .
Not cheap but I suppose it has to be done .

Pretend it's a Hot Rod and leave the bonnets off?
