The leather seems pretty water resistant , although I have treated it with Renapur a few times . The seat bases lift out for drying and the floor has easily removable mats .

When I first got it I couldn't understand how so much water could appear on the floor as if you're moving not much seems to get in ,especially if using half the tonneau .

I then realised most of it came in from the back . As recommended on here I fitted a trailer mud guard over the rear wheel . I also removed the seat back and taped and/or siliconed all the gaps , now it's virtually dry even in quite heavy rain .

The MMC one is just big enough for the cockpit.



& it fits nicely on the left with a bit of tubing and Velcro.

Coming home from the Silverstone Classic back up to Leeds this summer it threw it down all the way and as long as I kept above 40-50mph I stayed dry. In fact I got wetter driving the last 2 miles home from the motorway standing at traffic lights and doing 20-30mph than the previous 150 odd.
Attire:
Half toneau, over trousers, Barbour jacket, gloves and full face helmet. = warm and dry.

That's exactly what I've found . Its not nearly as bad as people imagine .

A bit like sailing then, there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!

Couldn't agree more - my great looking flying jacket = expensive sponge !

I use tent waterproof spray on my flying jacket and works a treat Had it now for 21 years and just started to look a little bit aged

Indeed, it makes me think that just chucking my umberella into the passenger footwell, isn't really good enough.
