What is the 'official' reason to oil the beading?
My handbook says do it, but not why.
My old 4/4 manual does not even mention it.

Get a syringe and squit the ACF50 into it. Then carefully run the syringe needle along either side of the seam and leave it for an hour or so then wipe off any excess. You should get good penetration this way. If not sure repeat it, more is better than less.

ACF has cured my creaks - on the car.
I now use it more widely too, on garden furniture fasteners,window hinges/catches/locks etc.

The syringe application is good. I use old printer cartridge refill syringes that I kept as they are not as sharp as medical syringes.
Also have a rag soaked in it kept in a plastic bag - handy to wipe over surfaces.

Use a syringe Richard....then apply heat to the knee with a hairdryer...........
