Anyone heard from Morgan re the EVA were they not due to showcase the car at Geneva.

I haven't had an update from them in a long time now (about 2 years I think), the last I heard I thought it was due in to first production in 2014.

It is about 4 years since we put deposits down

With Charles gone you have to wonder if this car will ever see the light if day.

I like that one. Appeals to my cynical sense of humour. I'm doing a conference paper in Canada in the new year Do you mind if I work that one in somewhere It might enrich the content!!

news

an email I got today
Good morning

Thank you for your interest in the EvaGT.

As you may be aware, the EvaGT was a concept car, initially created to showcase potential future automotive technologies, including magnesium alloy, and other lightweight materials, for both the bodywork and chassis.

We write to inform you that after due consideration during our 5 year strategic review, the EvaGT will not be progressing from concept stage to production for the foreseeable future.

We acknowledge receipt of your £5000- deposit , and wish to arrange a full refund- please do let us have your bank details please.

If we may tempt you with an alternative Morgan from our range, which includes the 3Wheeler, 4/4, +4, Roadster, +8 and Aero platforms, we would be delighted to assist you with your order.

Thank you for your interest in the EvaGT, if we can be of any further assistance do contact us at your convenience.

If that is it word for word then it is a bit terse considering that the money has been at rest with them for a long time. I am surprised it is not a little softer in tone. At least there is now clarity and things are clearly starting to get resolved so that is mostly good news (unless you ordered one)

Could have been worse - might have paid it to Charles as part of his redundancy payment hide
