I met someone who claimed to have raced MOG1E in period - a Morgan +4.
I've heard Moggie applied to Morgans, Morris Minors, and cats... However the Morris Minor use round here, tends to be qualified, Moggie Minor.
I'm not that bothered, have enough trouble with folk who think it's a kit car and as I rebuilt both the 4/4 and Super Aero, an answer to the question, "did you build it?" was never straightforward.

Possibly, but it was built in May88 and registered in Oz in May 89. It was either a bloody slow boat, or it sat somewhere for 12 months

In those days it was possible to order a car or bike in Europe, use it for one year, and import it into Australia tax and duty free. The difference in the cost was often enough to pay a good deal of the extended holiday expenses. I can't remember when they made things more difficult but it was at about the time GST (VAT) was introduced instead of the previous wholesale tax.
