Art deco styling is not to everymans taste, but some of those styling cues are really exciting visual references to our anglo-American heritage & I for one applaud the person who was visionary enough to sign the order.
I've no negative issues about Art Deco as a style reference with regard to car styling. I was highlighting the way in which it was implemented in this particular vehicle. You know the saying..'It's not what you do it's the way that you do it'

Woody Allen had a saying about pictures of naked women too
"I dont know much about art but I know what I like"
I wouldnt commission it,(had I unlimited spare cash) but I am pleased that It can be done.
Quite like this saying while I am at it.
“In my next life I want to live my life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people's home feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day. You work for 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.
You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school. You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born.
And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then Voila! You finish off as an orgasm!”

Every single unique feature that this car displays is a hash-up in my opinion.
Also, none of these modifications improve the performance of this Morgan, and some of them are anti-functional. On the other hand, the car is an eye-catcher. If it is shown on the Kustom Kar Show circuit it will generate a lot of free publicity for Morgan. So far the Aero 8 hasn't been a good seller in the US, and this might be the spark...

....well..it takes all types to make the world go round, I suppose. I would be happy for Morgan if it generated more business......as long as they don't put the monstrosity into production, that is.

Just thinking about the Texan who ordered this car...
He's a lot better at making money than I am, and he'll probably make a handsome profit on this car when he sells it. All of the "Art Deco" modifications were made by MMC, so they are factory original. Since we can be pretty sure that this will be the only one of these made, the Texan owns a unique and collectible Morgan worth $$$,$$$.
On the other hand, maybe he just wants a nice ride to the Austin Kustom Kar show. "Drive 'em, y'all"

The fact that someone wanted his designs built and MMC converted his dream to reality is a great thing and should be encouraged.
I hope he really enjoys it, it may not be to my taste but I have very conventional ideas on Morgan's.
I suspect it will command a very high price in years to come just as SP1 will, not many one off cars built. Not many mortals can afford one either so lets embrace the "differences" because one day not so very far off this will no longer be possible !

Have much more than what we think at first place, like the boat tail (i have count 3) the EB, the coachwork , the woody, the ducky conversion and i am sure Hermen have a more longer list than this. In one point you are right, we are near to all have the same car (with different brand name) designed in the wind tunnel with no character.
