I wonder if they talk about future projects like an electric Three Wheeler which is mentioned in MOG mag today.
If so I hope that there is a chorus of protest from the dealers.....I was hoping that with Charles gone, such nonsense would be a thing of the past. MMC need to focus on improving quality and preparing the existing cars for future legislation regarding petrol engines NOT pandering to the Greenies with something that they just haven't got the experience or the finance to do properly. Hear! Hear! ...But surely, as you are in the factory so often, Jay, you have already expressed this view to those who might listen...

If so I hope that there is a chorus of protest from the dealers.....I was hoping that with Charles gone, such nonsense would be a thing of the past. MMC need to focus on improving quality and preparing the existing cars for future legislation regarding petrol engines NOT pandering to the Greenies with something that they just haven't got the experience or the finance to do properly. Hear! Hear! ...But surely, as you are in the factory so often, Jay, you have already expressed this view to those who might listen... Ah but Peter........I made that comment some time before I started working for the company. I'm a converted man now.....I've seen the light! I'm like a stick of rock..."Morgan" runs right through me!!

Ken The British were in the lead with computers. This from answers.com
'The first computer, called UNIVAC, was designed by Eckert-Mauchly Computer Corporation and was completed by Remington Rand in 1951. There would have been several projects running in parallel. Lyons (who made cakes and ran teashops) sponsored Cambridge university to build EDSAC (first program run in 1949), this was intended to prove the concept of a business computer. Following this its successor LEO went into production use in 1951. Lyons went on sell LEOs and provide an outsourcing facility but ultimately they were a cake maker not an IT company so they merged the LEO business with EEC. So you could argue that EDSAC was the first commercial computer running in 1949'

Not forgetting Colossus, of course. And Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace. Even today it's British designed chips (ARM) that provide the computing power for the majority of the world's mobile computers/devices.
