That is the question!

I will use Aldermog whenever the conditions allow, but I know many wrap up their Morgan for the winter.

How many SORN and hoe many Don't?

(For non UK drivers to SORN is to make a "Statutory Off Road Notification" to the authorities saying that the car is not and will not be used. You save a bit of tax, about the price of 2 tanks of fuel.)

Hi Peter, I have SORNed "Monte" this year (first time). I agree the savings aren't that much, but last year there was so much salt on the roads I only took the car out on one day between November and April. So, I felt the pennies were better in my pocket than George Osbourne's! If we get a mild winter I'll probably regret it.

No SORN for me. I only stop using the 4/4 when there is salt on the roads.
Like Jays, I love driving on crisp winter days.

I will SORN my mog over Dec,Jan,Feb to avoid the salt and at £486 for the year, it's a saving worth making.
I will also use this time to get the wheels off and give it a thoroughly good clean/service.

I always imagined that cars were a means of transport not ornaments !

I used mine all through last winter and intend to this year . I will give it a good polish and spray bits with ACF50 .Last night I cleaned the leather and gave it a coat of Renapur .

I really don't think mine deteriorated much despite being coated in salt on numerous occasions .
Not using cars doesn't do them any good either ...

Wear plenty of clothes and go for it !

I use my Mog throughout the winter - so no SORN for me.

I plan to re tax my M3W next month just in case I feel the need. Jays I am jealous of a heater. I can put my right hand down on the exhaust protectors for a little warm up.

Brave man
notworthy

However, whatever you do, I don't think that wearing a kilt whilst driving would be a good idea.

I hadn't considered the thought until reading this thread..... The Roadster is quite a lot of money to tax, so it's tempting if it's not being driven.

Do you get pound for pound/pro rata cash back?
