Despite G's review, I've just ordered the book Mogger and look forward to receiving it.

I will look out for you. Must remember to take extra cash I will be attending the Silverstone Classic this weekend.
I will be at the Morgan Motor Company stand between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm on Saturday where you can view and purchase the book and avoid the P&P costs. I will be on hand to sign your book should you so wish.
If you would like to reserve a book to be picked up at the Silverstone Classic please email me at

Good to meet you on Saturday, and have the opportunity to speak to you about the writing of your book. Lookout for a few photos post on TalkMorgan in the next couple of days. I have had the chance to read the first few pages. I like the format and I find it easy to read. Look forward to reading the rest of the book. I will look out for you. Must remember to take extra cash I will be attending the Silverstone Classic this weekend.

The summer seems to have come to an abrupt end but it has been a pleasure meeting Mog folk at warm and sunny Silverstone and Canterbury. I am taking my Series 1 up Kop Hill on Sunday 22nd Sept and will have a handful of the remaining books for sale at the event. I have been given competitor number 494 so please come by the paddock and say hello. cheers john Morgan International Adventure a book by John C Clarke

Kop Hill came and went and I spent the day working on the Series 1 rather than whizzing up the hill. Too much oil getting to the rockers causing volumes of smoke!!
A bit last minute I know, but I have been invited by Chris Booth to sell my book on his stand at the three wheeler club spares fare tomorrow - i.e. Elgar Suite at the Abbey Hotel Malvern from 9.30am - 3.00pm Saturday 28th Sept.
If you want to avoid postal charges, this is probably the last chance to pick one up. Chris will also have a selection of Morgan books for sale. You won't need a three wheeler to attend but probably would be appreciated!
cheers

After a successful summer, I have just 20 copies of Morgan International Adventure remaining.
If you are thinking of buying a copy for Christmas I would urge you to place an order now. Once they've gone, they've gone.
I would like to thank those 230 from around the world who have already purchased a copy and I hope you all enjoyed reading about Morgans adventures in international motorsport between the wars.
best wishes
john

The count down has begun. Just 10 copies left now. All will be signed and should arrive before Xmas (only by Airmail for overseas).
More information has come out of the woodwork - the Brooklands Engineering Company declared in their advert in "Speed" magazine that they were responsible for preparing the engine for the '38 Le Mans entry. The Director, Douglas Hawkes was also responsible for tuning Morgan 3 wheeler record attempt engines.
Also, I have been contacted by the owner of the Lagonda (page 46-47) that accompanied the Morgan party to Le Mans in '38. The car is in fine fettle and sports a 2.0L supercharged engine. It is up for sale, has Brooklands race history and a Lagonda price tag!
And finally, two Morgan enthusiasts have been spurred on to purchase a Series 1 Morgan - one is being prepared for the track, the other for his collection. How cool is that?
cheers
