OK, I am new so please show some understanding... smile

1.The list has some options for the dashboard (wood, leather, etc.) What is the basic's model dashboard look/feel like?

2.Any photo from a Le Mans style gear knob...Worth the extra cash?

3.As an Exterior Option is listed a badge bar...What is this?

4.What is the meaning of over-riders?

5.Why Mesh Grille is list as a cost option? Does this means that the standard car has nothing in its place...??? sos

6.What is the Photograpic Build Record?

I found the order list in the following link...

http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/sales/prices_and_options.phtml

Calling for your wisdom...

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nikos,

This is a standard dashboard. In my opinion, it looks and feels great. (the steering wheel however is an after market one)

The Le Mans gear knob is made of polished aluminum, and can also be seen on the picture. The standard looks pretty much the same as in an "ordinary" car. Is it worth spending the money? For me it was. (There is a larger picture in my gallery, in case you want to take a closer look)

A badge bar is usually installed in the front, and is used for fixing meeting, anniversary and other badges. (Maybe somebody from this group has a picture)

The over-riders are the "chrome bananas" left and right of the license plate. Big bumpers cost extra. The first moggie has the extra bumper, the others have the standard over-riders:

A mesh grille can be seen on the first picture, when you follow this link: http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/sales/new_brochures/Morgan%20Roadster%20brochure%20pdf.pdf

Mine has no mesh behind the grille:

When you order a build record, you will get an album with pictures of your car during the building process.

Salut from Lėtzebuerg,
Ivo

Thanks Ivo, you been very helpful and accurate in the details I wanted.

Would it be too much to ask more...

Hopefully not, so here it goes...What exactly is the Coloured pvc wingbeading?

Also, the hood options makes me wonder, does the standard version comes without any "weather protection"?

And one last, what is the tonneau cover?

Thanks again and I apologise for the newbie style.

That's OK Nikos smile

I am also fresh to the Morgan community, and like you, I had similar questions. I don't understand, why MMC does not publish pictures, and/or descriptions of their options.

But here come my answers: work

The wing beading is a plastic, kind of, insulator stripe between the wings, and the body. It is usually black, but it can be chosen in matching colors of your interior trim.

Concerning the hood... mine is standard, made of PVC. It protects pretty well against rain. gloomy That's about the protection I expect from it, because I drive top down, no matter what the weather is, as long as it is dry. Maybe somebody else can help you better with this issue.

The tonneau cover, is used to protect the interior, when the vehicle is parked, with the hood down. In my opinion, this cover is only interesting, when you order the "old type" hood, which takes quite some time to put up. (The standard hood is put up and down within a minute.)

Salut from Luxembourg,
Ivo

The picture link shows my Plus 8 with the Tonneau fitted when I took delivery. It will cover the entire cockpit or as you see you can have just the single seat uncovered. It will provide some weather protection even with the top down although your weather in Greece might be better than Scotland. If the picture comes through in enough detail you might be able to zoom in and see the beeding between the back wing and the rear panel. In my case it is Blue to match the body.

I cannot see the image so will try again

If you will forgive me for being smarta**ed its Blue innocent I say that because I have not yet got around to tracking down all the detail to establish what type of Blue. It looks a bit BMWish to me but I really do not know just yet. I want at some stage to get colour coded spots on the front so will have to find out for then
