A bit harsh I think. I generally find something interesting in it. Has a different focus to Miscellany which seems to have more publicity than actual content. Between the two of them (and TM) I get all the Morgan reading I want.

I can usually find something interesting in Mog. For more hard core technical writing there is always Morgan World. Miscellany is a disappointment - but I saw in the latest issue that the editors are going to try and improve the magazine. I wish them luck.

I doubt anyone believes Mog is or ever could be truly independent. Let's face it - I've received it free since buying my M3W. That says it all.

And I - for one - think it's good to see a Mog Mag on the shelves at Smiths etc... even if they probably only sell a very small number.

I quite enjoy it , especially as it's free !
I wonder how long the free ones will keep coming , I got my M3W in sept 12 .

I'm looking forward to the next one (Jan) "Top MMC names share their thoughts on Morgan's 2013 ".....

It is what it is.

Bear in mind like Morgan car buyers, its potential readership demographic is tiny, so it has to try and appeal to as many morgan owners/admirers as possible.

No doubt it also has to be produced with a very limited budget and staffing.

I dont mind reading about someone who rebuilds a plus 8 engine, but i would not want a Haynes type step by step guide on how to do it.

I would prefer more in depth articles on the business, design, marketing side rather than technical articles, but I am happy to consume the frothy moggy stuff rather than nothing. coffee

I enjoy it as a light read and probably a bit biased as I've enjoyed meeting up with Julia and Claire over the past couple of years.

One obvious thing - 95% + of the target market is male (how many lady contributors on this site?), while the editors are female (though I know young Claire has departed)

Does that make a difference?

Take a look at the mainstream car mags - you will be hard pressed to find any female editors/writers.
