My only concern would be the insurance implications .
I checked with our fleet insurance company this morning, no implications. Would you have to declare it, though?

As I am only a happy customer, I don't want to get too involved in selling these bits, but am happy to coordinate things on a bulk buy basis for anyone who is interested as the company is local to me in Somerset. Have a look on their website: www.empireracingcars.com to see what their main activity is. Bill Chaplin is the boss and extremely knowledgeable and well thought of in his field - Hill Climb single seaters. From what one or two people who have contacted Empire Racing Cars directly have said, they are quoting £795 if they can get a minimum of 10 orders, or around £1100 for one off kits, mine cost quite a lot more than that, as it was the first one, and it was all fitted and set up, but apart from the fact that it shouldn't have been necessary in the first place, I am more than happy with the results. As far as I am concerned it has really transformed the feel of the car. I have done around 300 - 400 miles now, with a few 2 hour journeys being the longest, and it is all functioning perfectly. I'm not too sure if there is some organised coordination going on here or not (but if you are, then well done chap!), but I would be keen to add my name to the list of folk willing to invest in an Empire Racing kit. Having looked carefully at the pictures, it is obvious to me that this is a properly engineered solution to the dynamic limitations of the current setup, as it makes the suspension and steering movement describe correct paths relative to eachother, not incorrect ones. Clearly different drivers have different views, but don't forget that the roads in one persons locale might be very different to another's. Surrey UK roads are hopeless and my car is a completely different animal to drive in Germany for example than around my typical A and B roads where I live. The Germans understand how road safety is linked to road condition, not sure the Highways Agency in the UK have quite the same concerns... But there will always be different views from different drivers as the 'test conditions' will be different for everyone. I was going to hang out for the Factory 'Fix', but I fear that will be only a partial correction of the problem (lifting the track rod) and partial masking of the symptoms (better quality and adjustable dampers). Happy to be proven wrong, but I think I'll take the engineering route first. So - how close to 10 are we now do you think?!

They said no, as it was not adding any value to the car Also they confirmed that it was ok even though it's not produced by MMC. I must admit as it is a mechanical re-design so to speak I'd thought that it would be in the insurer’s interest, apparently with mine it's not. I think for peace of mind it's worth checking just to make sure.

Its a bit like adding Suplex suspension, pan hard rods etc to a 4 wheeler...I found that the insurance company noted it but did not increase the premium.
If you compare the costs of the Empireracing mods to the Suplex kit, I'd say that it was good value.

For those interested, I have included the link with pics of the the front suspension of a September build in order to determine if there are any differences between the old and new suspensions. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/galleries/166341#Post166341

Can someone confirm please has there really been any difference in the front suspension on recent build M3W's? I submitted pictures of mine ( early Nov build ) a week or so ago and it was commented it was the 'old' suspension. Do we actually have any evidence cars are being built with a new front suspension , or is is this all supposition / wishful thinking ? Most importantly , if so what is the actual difference ?
Back on topic , I guess fitting this Empire kit would invalidate the warranty , for what its worth ?

Back on topic , I guess fitting this Empire kit would invalidate the warranty , for what its worth ? The pictures above show the same suspension setup as my June 2013 car, so I'd say it's what we're calling 'Old' suspension. If there is to be a factory revision (and I think we know it's coming), then I am lead to believe it'll be 2014 before it hits the production builds, from what I've read on here. As far as the Empire Kit and its impact on warranty - you might argue that it would invalidate the warranty on the shocks and ball joints, but little else. Whether or not you'd changed your top wishbones would have no impact on a warranty claim for a compensator for example. I see no issue with going that route and I intend to do just that. I will speak to my dealer about it first, but I am sure there'd be no problem whatsoever.

Cheers R1NGA , please keep us posted how you get on !
I feel a bit cheeky asking , but have you had a drive in a converted M3W , or are you going forward on the basis that from your point of view it can only be better , which I have some sympathy with.

It'll be interesting to see if the cars at the NEC bike show have a new setup , It starts this weekend but I'll be going the weekend after.
