I went out of my way to get a 2012 build date for this reason. I may not see the increased value in my lifetime, but my (not yet conceived) children, or their children might.

EDIT: also, I have to LOL at the people who actually think that because Morgan is offering upgraded features on next years model, that it should somehow also apply to their 3 wheeler. I do not expect BMW to upgrade my E90 to an F30 or even an LCI E90; why would a company the size of Morgan be obligated to undertake such a task?

Some comments are meant to be taken with a pinch of salt , something one of the moderators struggles to grasp ! smile

I reckon there's a good chance that the Bevel Box 'fix' will be retro-fittable to existing cars, as it's probably just an insulating mount type thing. Stiffened chassis not easy of course, but chassis' have already been stiffened during current production run (my 2013 car has extra bracing where dash meets chassis in relation to 2012 version), so we'll probably have to live without. Steering mods undoubtedly transferrable, but will and probably should cost, as it's not a recall of course.

I must say as someone getting one of the last "Classic" (2013) variants, I'm rather pleased to know there are options available should the car show too much character on these darned "American" roads. smile

By the way, I think you will find that those Three Wheelers that you so glibly talk about had Suplex shock absorbers fitted, not the cr*p Spax ones?

Grow up Paul.

If you read what I said rather than make glib comments you will see I gave a balanced opinion (mine, as I see it) on the situation acknowledging that some had issues but that they were relative (how do you grade bump steer? What size bump is it acceptable to have the steering jarred by? Black and white are easy but there is a lot of grey).

I have no issue with the discussion nor have I commented on the actual comments that discuss the facts, the changes, or even the frustrations and mini rants; but the whining is getting to me.

I mean come on, writing on a discussion forum (as opposed to speaking to someone) that you want a free upgrade AND a significant discount on a new vehicle and having a pop at the others that didn't agree with you? That's whining in my book.

Me "rushing to the defence of the factory"? Where? I've given an alternative opinion and had a go at HPJ for complaining to the wrong source and having a go at the 'non believers'.

As I mentioned (albeit sarcastically) I have a Smart Brabus Fourtwo that bounces all over the road at speed and where bumps exist; I would suggest (though I haven't driven an M3W any distance) its nearly or as bad as your cars? (maybe we =need a comparison?) but MB haven't bothered attending to it nor am I asking MB, via a load of virtual friends, to discount me a new one.

The irony is if you had simply posted your last paragraph on its own; it would have been a sensible constructive argument against my opinion and gone somewhat to putting my experiences into context (though I guess the car we took to Nordkapp was Spax?). Shame you spoilt it with crass

Cheers

Nothing stays the same for ever wink and I don't really see what being 'close to the factory' has to do with getting frustrated at what I saw/see as whining?

I was referring to the demands (my word) for a free upgrade AND a discounted new model which I think is OTT for any company (thus my Smart reference - and I see another poster also has the same opinion) and the glib BSD comments, all wrapped up by writing it on a forum.

If I were expecting/wanting recompense for any reason Id approach those who I had the grievance with and make my feelings felt directly to them.

You may well be right, I haven't been through them all in detail smile I've no issue with the discussion of any issues or bumpsteer

Now you are putting words into my mouth that I haven't said. Most of the posts on this thread I didn't agree with, pre PaulJ's comment on type of suspension. Don't really give a monkeys as I haven't got one nor do I anticipate getting one soon. The reason for my outburst is as above. Nothing to do with your opinion. I have always respected that other people have differing opinions, and am happy to beg to differ.

I totally agree with you and you have my sympathies. In the context of car ownership that is exteremely frustrating and more than I would expect of any car.

The subjective bit was what level of 'bumpsteer' is acceptable? I'm not sure there is a definitive answer - it will boil down to an individuals feeling I guess.

I'm glad you have "got over it" smile with hindsight my "get over it" comment may have been too harsh and for that I apologise. I cant be right all the time wink wink

If that was aimed at me then it's valid. Can I suggest that a wink or a hide after the ones needing the salt be added; for a bit of clarity? thumbs

You do know how to annoy me Peter mad2 (and I used to love your column in Fast Lane!!!)

So you suggest that in volunteering to moderate a site that most enjoy using (admittedly not a difficult job!) I cannot comment passionately or with emotion? Everything I post is as a Moderator and not as me?

Give us a break please doh
