Guys...help needed...the oil tank should be like my m3w or did a nut and dip stick fall off into the oil tank?

I'm sure it should have a nut on the top of the lid, from the picture is that a hole in the top of the lid? Oil level looks ok. Dipstick may have fallen inside the nut I'd of thought would not.

If you have a hole in top bung it up with something or nut bolt preferably. Email MMC and order a new cap. Just take a visual note of the current level and check as per normal.

Glad its finally arrrived by the way smile

Sorry cant check mine as its away at the moment.

Earlier cars did have a dipstick , but I read somewhere that the more recent cars have the internal level marker . Perhaps someone with a new one could confirm this ?

Mine (chassis 931) has the internal level marker. I do not know if this was an original idea from Morgan but it's one of those very clever ideas that seem obvious only after someone has thought of them.

There is no nut in the oil cap.i drained some off the oil..couldnt find anything in the oil tank..plus i wanted to remove the oil tank and check if anything is in it,but no luck on unbolting it..im not worried about the oil level, but of a bolt or dip stick interfering with the oil circulation..end of sept build,do they have dip sticks?first day m3w home oil cap had no dip stick or bolt.what made me think twice was when i read the manual booklet

Looks like the new level marker in the picture? Silver coloured bar? If so what a good idea. I'll get my getcoat
