Shouldn't effect it more than the impact on the body, doors, bonnet, wings etc. The aluminum has a great deal of flex.

Aesthetically, I don't like most most of the changes to the cockpit, and I wonder why V12 decided to keep the ugly (but functional) original steering wheel. Is this car going to be a racer?

Aside from my aesthetic preferences, it's an interesting project and I'll be eager to see progress pictures.

Not to worry. The existing ugly wheel is being replaced with a proper Moto-lita wood rim wheel.
