Every so often there is little choice but to drive with the hood up. On these occasions we have been annoyed by the hood flapping against the top rail between the Velcro fasteners. We have resolved the problem by inserting a folded paper handkerchief or some-such but I wanted to find a more permanent solution. It presented itself in the form of two little Velcro straps that were attached to the leads of Nokia phone chargers. They have about 2 cm of "hook" and the rest is "pile". The two different materials seem to be heat welded together to make one strap.
I carefully stitched them to the inside seam of the hood without penetrating the hood itself at about 2 cm measured from the end of the "hook" section. I then trimed off the excess length of the "pile" section after doing a trial fit.
Looks like a good solution. I have been plagued by this flapping sound as well. This looks like a design modification that Morgan could perhaps consider ?
