No medical required in UK at age of 70. Self declaration required for licence renewal, and every three years from there.

David I hope you enjoy it. I plan for 60 so 3 1/2 years away assuming HM Gov don't change the rules again.

Sadly.. Well that's not too bad. Actually I have just discovered it is the same here but after 80 it is every two years with a medical examination. I will have to evaluate whether to swap my UK licence for an Italian one or not next year when my UK is up for renewal.
